No, that doesn't mean I fell off the apple truck. It means today was the first time I stopped at the Wenatchee apple truck that parks at the community center near us. 23 pounds of apples for $11.95..... the best of Washington. Today I asked advice and got a terrfic reccomendation. I need apples to eat that also bake well. I had Golden Delicious last time so we were a bit tired of those. Apple man suggested jonathans and gave me one to try.
This must be the kind that grew near our house when I lived in VA in middle school, because the taste immediately took me to that orchard. Wonderful! All that and they will look beautiful on the counter until they are all eaten.
