M turned four yesterday. He was confused and claimed all week that he was already 4 since we celebrated with D last weekend. He wanted no part of taking treats to school to celebrate with his class so we had a simple "cupcakes and playtime" with our neighborhood pals. The monkey masks and hats M chose were a hit.

And of course the cupcakes were monkey cupcakes. Hopefully this is the last year of the monkey--- then again, I will probably look back wistfully and yearn to make a monkey cake one day.

Those cupcakes are adorable! I don't think I would mind getting stuck on the monkey theme - there are lots of options.
