Quick kid update
E: surviving school. liking baseball. doing well when challenged with the "I don't think you can do it" attitude( makes me feel like a winner of a parent to tell him he can't do things, but it works for him). growing out of playing with the little kids which makes me wonder about summer; I cannot play catch with him all day every day all summer long. loves having mom or dad all to himself-- attention starved or attention addict: there is a thin line between the two.
G: loving school. liking baseball. having fun with friends. ready to try some day camps this summer. new food love is sushi-- not that we are surprised by this. ready to leave the room with M and helping me design a quilt for his new room. He and I each drew our ideas for his quilt and when he showed me his beach I couldn't figure out what all the circles were. He drew a rock beach; that is what spending a few formative years in the Pacific NW does for you-- when you picture a beach you picture rocks, logs and water that is too cold to do more than wade for a few minutes. We are going with a sand beach and animals of the pacific nw in the water around the edges of the quilt. We'll see what it actually turns out to be.
M: happy at school. content at home alone, but when the big kids are here he is rough trying to compete for attention all the time. trying to direct that into helping me more to get good attention. regressed on potty training again so he is spending lots of time in his room; perhaps a bribe of new underwear would help. Perhaps he should just take a minute and use the bathroom-- have tried to explain it but he is not listening.
Will post again as soon as I get the hang of working this different computer or when I get my real computer back.
love and hugs, B
