Atlanta Leftovers

Our weekend had a lasting impression on some little LEGO builders.  They were inspired by both their trip to a LEGO Discovery Center as well as by the interesting buildings of Atlanta.  On the table you can see a Coke bottle, a couple of office buildings, the V from Varsity Grill, and an Olympic torch .  Detail of the office building is below.  Wish I had a pic of the real thing, though you don't need it because this is exactly how it looked.

Part of the trip to Atlanta was visiting two stores I love: The Container Store and IKEA--- organization is the key to life!  I have always wanted my spices in more uniform containers and I got my wish.  Look at these cute tubes for smaller portions....
And my spice drawer with the two sizes together.  Yippeee!  Strange little things can make me so happy.
I have brought diversity to my chicken covered kitchen by adding this little owl cookie jar-- she is so sweet!
And I found this ceramic fruit basket.  Wasn't sure what to do with it when it came home, but quickly found a use.  For dessert one night I put cherries in it, rinsed them and then just set it on the table for the kids to pick their own.
One funny story for the weekend:  today as we drove around doing errands I had the radio on in the car.  I landed on a country station and G started fake sneezing.  E soon joined in with complaints of itching.  They claimed they were allergic to country music.  When I would change to something else everything would get quiet, but every time we landed on a country station the "allergy attacks" in the back would continue.  If they can keep up the humor like this summer will go by too quickly!
love and hugs, B
