Hoppy Easter Everyone!

Wishing everyone a belated Hoppy Easter! We had a busy but fun weekend.
FRIDAY: In the afternoon before bus stop time we hosted a preschool egg hunt for the siblings of kids from the bus stop. It was very fun and the kids were the perfect ages to hunt eggs together. School age kids get too much into getting the most eggs and if they like the candy inside while the little kids just enjoy hunting. Pics of the egg hunt fun.

D also had the day off work Friday so before the egg hunt he and G went out on an adventure and found the sea kayak that he had been looking for. After E got home from school we went down to the little beach near our house and all the boys loaded in for the first ride. It was highly successful with E learning how to paddle enough to be helpful. I can see that by summer's end we will have to get a second two person kayak so all 5 of us can be out exploring together.

Saturday was gloomy weather so we went north to the mall for some shopping. Well, actual shopping at Kohls and then looking at the mall.

SUNDAY: The Easter bunny did hop by our house (even though we have one child who is beginning to doubt).

Late in the afternoon we found a big bag of eggs he must have dropped off because the weather was dreadful. I hid the eggs and the kids hunted indoors. I do have to say it is not as exciting as hunting outdoors and it takes even less time for the kids to find them all. Of course when I am cleaning and find an egg filled with treats I will remember the egg hunt and think it was the best idea ever.

As we sat down to Easter dinner the sun burst through the clouds and the rain stopped. Oh well, maybe it will be pretty here for Easter next year.
Hope everyone had a superb weekend! love and hugs, B

What a weekend you had! How many eggs did you find? I loved hunting for Easter eggs and finding candy inside. It looks like you had fun in the water.
Love you all much!
