Easter 2010

Belated Happy Easter to everyone! Posting a few pics of the day.

The Easter bunny visited and left wonderful baskets of candy, a few toys, toothbrushes and toothpaste.

The big coloring books and big boxes of crayons were a big hit. This is what each child has been doing in spare moments since finding them:

The bunny also left a big bag of eggs for the egg hunt. D did the hiding this year and I don't know who had more fun.

We ate in the dining room using good china. All the kids were well mannered. We do not go to Easter service yet since there is no nursery and M would be too wild during the long service, so at dinner we discussed the real reason for celebrating Easter. It was interesting to hear how much E knows and how much G can recite from Mass. Great question from E: Is believing in Jesus and God enough to get you into heaven or do you really have to be good too? Questions like that are why I took a year off teaching Sunday school--I should stick to teaching the younger grades.

Final pic: G is skeptical about Santa, but completely buys the idea of a giant rabbit hopping around delivering eggs and candy. He was very excited about putting carrots out for the bunny and in the morning was amazed to see the plate was empty.
A side note: those Spongebob PJs confuse my camera. It has a feature where it tries to pull faces into focus for you so all those Spongebob faces send it into overload.
love and hugs, B
