Alopecia....It's Back

Back in Virginia for 5 months and my hair apparently has something against this state and doesn't want to live here. Wearing my hair in a ponytail is getting a little strange looking. So tired of finding my brush full of excess and sweeping up piles that I think it is time to seek dermatological assistance. Finding a dermatologist here can be a stress in itself so by the time I get an appointment I may not have any hair left. Oh well. A no hair day is better than no day at all.
Have not been blogging regularily--sorry. We are outside all the time playing or doing baseball things. My only interesting activity has been working on the quilt for G's new room; he already moved into the room but is waiting patiently for quilt completion for the room to really be his. Here are a couple quick peeks of the borders coming together. Slowly, but it will happen one day before he heads off to college. The borders are water filled with whales, otters, seals, and sea stars. The top/center part will be a beach (maybe with a tidal pool-- depends on how frustrated I get embroidering seal and otter faces on).

Keeping the house running these days seems to take more planning and organization. Especially in the food prep area. I have started trying to keep fresh foods prepped "ready to eat" style so we have better choices. Below you will find a typical Tuesday night dinner due to crazy baseball schedules: E gets dropped at the ball park first, then I take G right over to practice, D goes to watch E and pick him up, I stay with G and M eats dinner then plays on the playground, all meet back home around 7:45). I have started keeping salads already put together in the fridge to add to dinners or grab as a quick lunch. Also a fruit plate; given up on prepping individual portions for the boys, I just make a big tray and they have a free-for-all.

Really nothing exciting here. So this has got to be the most boring post ever.

love and hugs, B

I've had two bouts of temporary hair loss. The first was quite severe. It's not pleasant watching your hair go down the drain every time you wash it.
