Here are the Saturday highlights from Memorial Day weekend.
Went over to the Blue Ridge mountains. Cloudy/hazy in the morning and then the sun came out and really steamed things up in the afternoon. We did a couple short hikes, visited our favorite art gallery and lunch place, our favorite apple orchard (not in season, but found out when the peach festival is), quick stops at Monticello and Ash Lawn to start planning for a weekend of Presidential home tours later in the summer. Quote of the day goes to M " What is all this fog? It must be from the volcano. The volcano must be going off. " Could not convince him that Virginia does not have a volcano.
Pics from Saturday follow.
Last picture from James Monroe's home (Ash Lawn) made me miss having a real vegetable garden here. Someday I will have a garden just like this...
