We had Thanksgiving for dinner the other night. I bought turkey legs on sale and cooked up a bit of stuffing and the kids had a blast (and everyone ate great). The only problem I found with giving little boys turkeys legs to eat is that the conversation went immediately to the disgusting: "This is a big bone. Why do we have bones? Was there blood in this too? Where is the blood now?" Almost enough to turn me vegetarian.
Monday my children were last on the bus and nearly missed it. Especially embarrassing considering our house is the bus stop. Oops!
I have had several nights of broken sleep and I think it is beginning to effect me.... today I could not stop laughing at the kids shows M was watching. Laughing out loud kind of laughing; M thought I had lost it.
Speaking of losing it. One day M asked to go to Chuck E Cheese and I told him we could go when I lost my mind. Now he periodically asks me if I have lost my mind yet so we can go to Chuck E Cheese.
Sometimes teacher's say something and it sounds good but they don't remember I taught so I know what they are really saying. Teachers always say E is enthusiastic; what this actually means is "He is so loud and he just won't ever be quiet, please make him stop talking!" M's teachers have said that he has a lot of character and charisma; in teacher speak this means he is stubborn and bossy and is going to run over everyone else to get his way....also if he has threatened them in his Joe Pesci voice they are probably scared of him.
Open House for K - 2 at the elementary school tonight. Now, before I make my snide remark let me say that at least this parent did show up, I just question her clothing choice for an elementary school event. Sheer black top over black camisole, short shorts, and thigh high (yes, really) cream leather high heeled boots. Maybe she was going out afterwards (where? this is the boondocks) or maybe she just came from work (don't get me started down that road). Let me say again that she was there supporting her kid. Thank goodness the older boys weren't there tonight.
We are still having about one house showing a week. No bites so far.
love and hugs, B

nice. yeah, I remember E's preschool teachers saying that she was "a leader" (aka- she's bossy as hell)! And, come on, you know it was you wearing the thigh high cream colored leather boots to the PTA meeting. :)xxoo
