Pumpkin Patch

We headed out to the pumpkin patch this weekend....I think most of the south sound area was at a pumpkin patch this weekend. Not as much fun without D, but we gave it a try. The weather was beautiful after a couldy start. E was very sweet to take over D's position as the wheelbarrow manager until it got too heavy for him. After walking several rows we each found our perfect pumpkin.

I was pulled into the green pumpkins this year (after several years of choosing white or blue pumpkins). G accused me of choosing a watermelon and joked about eating it all the way home.
Love this pic!

The other big activity for the weekend was packing E for fourth grade camp. Luckily, it looks like the rain is going to hold off for the 4 days they are there. It was fun to teach E how to roll everything to make it fit in a small bag and try to teach him to roll his own sleeping bag.

This morning at drop off I helped him place his bags in the loading area, checked in, and after a quick kiss this is what I saw. No extra hug, no begging me to stay, no tears, no standing still so I could get one more picture. I am happy that he was so ready to go. I think waiting to load the bus was going to drive him crazy, he just wanted to go.

love and hugs and I could really use extra hugs since E wouldn't give me any before he ran off, B

Extra hugs are for you. Congrats on the camp. I know he'll have fun and the other two will enjoy having more time with you.
