For the first time ever the kids dyed Easter eggs. They are all at an age to handle it without major disaster and I am at an age when I can handle them dipping things into bowls of dye without a major meltdown on my part. We dyed 2 dozen eggs.
M used the simple 'dip egg in single color method'. He tried to draw a design on one before dipping it, but it rolled on the floor and broke so he just went back to dipping. He added stickers to his at the end.
G used multiple colors and tried adding designs with the crayon before dying. These are his favorite eggs. And it was hard to keep him from breaking into the eggs during the decorating--- he was disappointed that we couldn't eat them all for lunch.
E would've dyed all day if I had enough eggs. He was not into it until I showed him my 'tie dye' method of egg dying. He loved using all the different colors at once (and doing something different from the little kids).
First he covered the egg in dyed pieces of paper towel.
Then he removed the towel to see the design left behind.
These are all our eggs minus one broken and one sampled.
love and hugs, B
